TCL Communication Tech Company unveiled the new smartphone – BlackBerry KEY 2 LE at the on-going IFA 2018 event in Berlin. The new phone is a toned down version of BlackBerry KEY 2, launched in July. The smartphone comes in two size variants of 32GB and 64GB, which is priced at USD 399 (Approx. Rs 28,000) and USD 449 (Approx. Rs 31,500) respectively. The company further announced that the phones would reach the global market by the next month. Coming to the specifications, the phone sports a 4.5-inch IPS display with resolutions of 1620 X 1080 pixels. Whereas, powering the device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB onboard storage expandable up to 256GB. In the graphics department, the phone carries an Adreno 509 GPU. On the optics side, the phone carries a dual camera setup of 13MP + 5MP sensors at the rear, which is set at apertures of f/2.2 and f/2.4 respectively. Whereas, at the front for selfies and video chats the device carries an 8MP sensor. The rear cameras support 4K recordings at 30 fps and introduce Portrait mode and Super Zoom. For security and privacy needs, BlackBerry KEY 2 LE devices comes with a fingerprint scanner placed at the spacebar key of the phone and also comes with DTEK security suite, BlackBerry Privacy Shade and BlackBerry Secure Android.
