The remaining employees and channel partners have stayed back to complete the necessary formalities for the repatriation of the mortal remains of those who lost their lives. The tragedy occurred on 11 July 2026, when a tourist speedboat carrying a group of Indian nationals capsized shortly after departing from Hon May Rut Ngoai island. The vessel was transporting 32 Indian tourists and four Vietnamese crew members when it overturned in rough sea conditions. Lava Mobiles expressed profound grief over the loss of its colleagues and business partners. "We cannot begin to imagine what they witnessed and endured.
