OpenAI is working to expand ChatGPT to smart glasses and wearable devices, according to company president Greg Brockman. Rather than remaining restricted to standalone software applications, future iterations of ChatGPT could leverage dedicated Application Programming Interfaces to interact directly with various computer systems and operating frameworks.
The company is currently designing specialised Application Programming Interfaces tailored for wearable hardware, which require continuous background processing and support for camera-based multimodal interactions.
