After unveiling Oppo Reno, Reno 5G and Reno 10X Zoom edition in the China market last month, the phone maker is all set to bring the new Reno Series to the Indian market. The Chinese phone maker has officially started sending out media invites for the launch event of Reno series, which is scheduled to take place in India on May 28. However, the official invitation doesn't not confirm if the company will be launching one specific model or both, standard Reno and 10X Zoom edition in India. The main underline of the new Reno series is that the devices comes with side-swing selfie camera setup. The module is touted to come out in just 0.8 seconds. Moreover, the selfie camera module not only sports the camera but also features earpiece, front soft light, and rear LED flash.

As far as the specifications are concerned, the Oppo Reno comes with a 6.4-inch FHD+ panoramic AMOLED display that brings screen-to-body ratio of 93.1 percent. The stunning design of the smartphone is protected by the 6th generation Corning Gorilla Glass. Powering the new Oppo Reno is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC that is clubbed with 6GB and 8GB RAM options and up to 256GB of internal space. For photography, there is dual camera module at the back featuring a 48MP Sony IMX586 lens along with a 5MP telephoto lens. For taking selfies and video calling, there is a 16MP snapper that supports 5 portrait modes as well as AI for boosting selfies. Talking about the Reno 10x Zoom Edition, the phone sports a bigger 6.6-inch panoramic AMOLED display. Under the hood, the phone comes powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 855 chipset that is paired with  up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal space. For photos and videos, the company has incorporated a triple rear camera module comprising of 48MP Sony IMX585 lens along with 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a 13MP telephoto lens. At the front, the Oppo Reno 10X Zoom Edition comes with a 16-160mm full focal length coverage for enabling 10X lossless optical zoom. For connectivity, the phone gets 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, dual GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. The Reno 10X Zoom edition gets slightly bigger battery of 4,065mAh battery than the regular version along with VOOC 3.0. Both the devices run the latest version of ColorOS based on Android Pie. Coming to the pricing, the 6GB + 128GB memory variant of Oppo Reno is priced at Rs CNY 2,999 which is priced Rs 30,000. On the other hand, the mid variant carrying 6GB RAM and 256GB internal space retails at CNY 3,299 (around Rs 34,000) whereas the top-of-the-line model with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal space costs CNY 3,599 (approximately Rs 37,000). While the regular Oppo Reno smartphone comes in four colours - Extreme Night Black, Fog Sea Green, Mist Powder, and Nebula Purple, the Reno 10X Zoom edition is available in Extreme Night Black and Fog Sea Green only.

Reno 10X Zoom edition smartphone gets a starting price of CNY 3,999 (around Rs 41,000) for 6GB RAM and 128GB variant. The mid variant with 6GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration cost CNY 4,499 (approximately Rs 46,500). On the other hand, the top-end version with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal space retails for CNY 4,799 (roughly Rs 49,500). Moreover, the Oppo Reno 5G version could be priced at EUR 899 (around Rs 69,000) in the Europe market.
