Mumbai, January 30: Samsung is gearing up to expand its dominance in the premium smartphone space with the upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra, which is set to be unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked event on February 25, 2026. The flagship focuses on meaningful refinements, including enhanced privacy technology, sustained performance improvements, and a refreshed design featuring softly rounded edges and a lighter yet durable armour aluminium frame.
One of the headline additions is Samsung’s new Adaptive Privacy Display, a hardware-based feature designed to limit side-angle visibility in public spaces while keeping on-screen content clear for the user. Paired with Qualcomm’s latest processor and an upgraded thermal system, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is positioned to handle demanding tasks such as extended gaming sessions and 8K video recording with ease. Samsung is expected to maintain relatively stable pricing in India despite rising component costs globally. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is likely to start at INR 1,29,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. The 512GB model may be priced around INR 1,39,999, while the top-end 16GB RAM + 1TB storage version could reach INR 1,59,999.
Following the global launch, pre-bookings in India are expected to open immediately, with deliveries and open sales likely to begin from March 11, 2026. Samsung is also expected to introduce new “shadow” colour finishes, including Black Shadow, White Shadow, and Ultraviolet.
