NASA had announced that it will make some big announcements regarding life on the red planet. The Curiosity Rover which had been on the red planet since 2012 was studying the planet in much detail, from its rocky layers to the change in surface. The live conference of the findings and big revelations is still going on, but we have got some majorly important portion out of it. The Curiosity Rover has revealed that Martian surface contains organic molecules, which points out to the sign of ancient life on Mars. What is Mars Like? Years ago there have been studies about evidence of water on the red planet and are there any life forms existing on it. The latest study published in the journal Science suggests two main points- first is Mars having seasonal variations of the methane gas and the second suggestive that the planet was home to some life. The findings do not talk about current life or were it an alien life but sure some form of ancient life. The Curiosity Rover collected soil samples from two spots in Gale crater. On heating them up, it was found that it had several organic molecules commonly found in Earth’s organic-rich sedimentary rock. These molecules, however, date back to 3.5 billion years ago.

Check out the big finding by NASA's Curiosity Rover:

“The detection of organic molecules and methane on Mars has far-ranging implications in the light of potential past life on Mars,” astrobiologist Inge Loes ten Kate published in the same issue of Science. “Curiosity has shown that Gale crater was habitable around 3.5 billion years ago, with conditions comparable to those on the early Earth, where life evolved around that time.” Although there has been no face to face evidence of Martian life, these new findings direct towards a great understanding of the planet. Sex on Mars Could be a Biggest Risk And Create New Human Subspecies on The Red Planet

More research is needed in the direction to come up with something more significant. "These new findings, Mars is telling us to stay the course and keep searching for evidence of life,” said Thomas Zurbuchen, associate administrator for the Science Mission Directorate at NASA Headquarters, in Washington. “I’m confident that our ongoing and planned missions will unlock even more breathtaking discoveries on the Red Planet.” The surface of Mars may be not suitable for life today but it was once sure having water which must have helped in the existence of certain life forms. The recent findings also highlight the detail about how methane exists on the planet. The collective findings are very important for researchers who have been racking to find a trace of life in the outside universe.
