Smartphone brand Vivo is preparing to expand its portfolio in India with the upcoming launch of the Vivo V80. While the company has already introduced variant models in international markets, the standard V80 is expected to arrive in India with significant generational upgrades over the preceding V70 series, focusing heavily on advanced photography tools and battery endurance.
As per a report by Gizmochina, the upcoming device is tipped to house a massive 7,200mAh battery. If confirmed, this would represent the largest power capacity ever fitted inside a handset within the brand V-Series, comfortably providing up to two days of continuous usage for media streaming, mobile gaming, and intensive multimedia editing tasks. Are You Waiting for OnePlus 16? The handset is also expected to feature a 50-megapixel ZEISS telephoto camera system complete with 3x optical zoom and 10x zoom support in portrait mode. Additionally, the device will support high-resolution 4K cinematic video recording, giving mobile creators enhanced flexibility when capturing footage across challenging lighting conditions.
Vivo V80 AI Camera Features
Imaging software forms a major part of the upcoming release, with the handset tipped to include an AI Creative Camera suite packing over 30 distinct effects. Users will also gain access to a Live Sticker Collage tool, allowing them to combine multiple images and decorative stickers directly on the device for rapid social media sharing.
Furthermore, the smartphone is expected to introduce AI Diwali Portrait 2.0, building upon the festive photography modes previously rolled out in earlier generations. This upgraded software aims to refine low-light portrait photography during festive celebrations and family gatherings.
Vivo V80 Software And Performance Upgrades
On the software front, the V80 is expected to debut with OriginOS 7 based on Android 17.
