Xiaomi is all set to launch the next flagship smartphone Mi 8 along with Mi Band 3 and MIUI 10 at its annual product launch in China today. It is also speculated the Chinese handset maker could also launch the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE smartphone along side the 3 other products. The company is celebrating its 8th anniversary since its startup in China which is scheduled to commence at 2pm Beijing time (11:30am IST). Touted as the biggest event of the year for Xiaomi, the company will be looking to introduce new upgrade for mobile software and in the at its annual product launch event in China, is all set to unveil its next flagship Xiaomi Mi 8, alongside MIUI 10 and the Mi Band 3. It's also rumored the company may launch the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE smartphone at the event. The event is scheduled to start at 2pm Beijing time (11:30am IST) on May 31 which is LIVE streamed at company's official website.The launch will be the Chinese electronics giant's biggest event of the year as it prepares to upgrade its flagship smartphone series, mobile software, as well as its wearable segment.

Talking about Xiaomi Mi 8, Xiaomi will skip the Mi 7 moniker and will jump straight to the Mi 8 branding to celebrating company's 8th anniversary. The Xiaomi Mi 8 smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC and will feature a wider notch and tall bezel-less display upfront. The smartphone is expected to sport a vertically aligned dual camera at the rear. On the other hand, Xiaomi Mi 8 SE will be a special edition of the original flagship model likely to be powered by the new Snapdragon 710 SoC.

Coming to MIUI 10, there are not much details about Xiaomi's flagship OS as of now. Going by the leaked screenshots on the internet, it is believed that the it will carry an Android P-inspired design bringing features like full touch gesture controls, a floating window, a new colour scheme, a quick preview window, and better performance.

Moving on to the wearable segment, Xiaomi will also be launching the new Mi Band 3 at the event today. Likewise the previous Mi Band products, the new Band will be priced around CNY 169 which is approximately Rs. 1,800. The new Mi Band 3 is also speculated to get features such as heart rate sensor, sleep tracker, calorie counter, step counter, Bluetooth v4.2 and NFC. The company also claims that the new Mi Band 3 will be more durable than the previous model.
