After launching Mi A3 in Spain, the Chinese smartphone brand is all set to launch the smartphone in the country next week. To be introduced as a successor to Mi A2, the upcoming Mi A3 smartphone will be launched in India on August 21, 2019. This piece of information has been confirmed by the Xiaomi Global VP - Manu Kumar Jain via his official Twitter account. Already available in the European markets, the smartphone under the Mi A series has been a successful product as far as a budget stock Android offering is concerned. As far as the specifications are concerned, the new Mi A3 handset will sport a 6-inch AMOLED display with HD+ resolution. However, Mi A2 smartphone comes equipped with FHD+ display. The handset will also bear a waterdrop notch upfront housing a 32MP selfie shooter. Under the skin, there will be a Snapdragon 665 chipset which will be clubbed with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. In terms of variants, the handset is likely to be seen in 2 variants – 4GB + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. On the software front, the phone will run on Android 9, giving stock Android experience under the Android One program. For photography, we could see a triple camera module at the back which will comprise of 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP depth sensor. At the front, there will be a 32MP snapper for selfies and video calling.

Coming to the prices, the Xiaomi Mi A3 smartphone retails with a starting price of €249 (around Rs 20,000) for the base model. We can expect a lower price tag on the Mi A3 for competing against the other brands in the competitive markets like India.
