Xiaomi Mi Band fitness band was launched in the Indian market earlier this week as a part of Chinese brand’s Smarter Living 2020 event. Post launch, the fitness band went on sale in the country on Thursday, which was immediately sold out on Amazon and Mi.com. Making the fitness band accessible to every customer, Xiaomi announced that the Mi Band 4 will be made available for the second time on September 28. The new Mi Band 4 will go on sale at 1PM on Mi.com, Amazon and Flipkart. Apart from the new Mi Band 4, the Chinese tech giant also launched new water purifier and new Mi TV 4X Smart TVs. We also saw Mi Soundbar and a new budget HD TV from Xiaomi at the event. The new Mi Band 4 is introduced as a successor of Mi Band 3, which was priced in India at Rs 1,299. Dubbed as the cheapest fitness tracker, the Mi Band 4 comes with a full colour display. It gets a 0.95-inch AMOLED screen display with resolution of 120 x 240 pixels resolution. Offered in colour shades, the smart band has 5ATM certification that makes it water resistant up to 50 meters.
Additionally, the Mi Band 4 gets 16MB ROM along with bunch of sensors like 3-axis accelerometer + 3-axis gyroscope; PPG heart rate sensor and capacitive proximity sensor. The fitness band is also capable of tracking several activities like exercise, outdoor running, cycling, walking, poll swimming, and treadmill. It can also track activities like usual step counter, distance and calories.
Some key software features of Mi Band 4 are stopwatch, calendar notifications, weather prediction, find my phone, and do not disturb mode. Powered by a 135mAh battery, the fitness band supports the latest Bluetooth 5.0. The Mi Band 4 is compatible with smartphones running on Android 4.4 OS or above and iOS 9.0 or above.
