Xiaomi launched an entry-level smartphone - Redmi 7A which was launched in India earlier this month will be made available for sale later today. The Chinese phone maker will be hosting the sale for the smartphone today at 12PM IST via Flipkart and Mi.com. The main underlines of the smartphone are HD+ display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 chip, a 12MP rear camera, up to 32GB of internal storage and 4,000mAh of battery. As far as the prices are concerned, the new Redmi 7A comes with a starting price of Rs 5,999 for the 16GB storage version. On the other hand, the 32GB storage version costs Rs 6,199. However, the company is offering a special discount of Rs 200 on the Redmi 7A variants during the month of July. With the discounts being offered, the prices for the phone comes down to Rs 5,799 and Rs 5,999 respectively. The interested customers can also avail additional five percent discount through Axis Bank credit card along with EMI options and exchange benefits.
Specification-wise, the entry-level smartphone runs on the Android 9 Pie based on MIUI 10 and gets a 5.45-inch HD+ display with 720X1440 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, there is a Snapgragon 439 chipset which is paired with 2GB of RAM and up to 32GB of onboard storage.
In the camera department, the Redmi 7A gets a single 12MP Sony IMX486 sensor at the rear with PDAF lens and LED flash. Moreover, the phone also flaunts a 5MP selfie camera upfront for selfies and video calling. Additionally, the smartphone supports AI Face unlock feature. The connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The company has incorporated a 4000 mAh battery along with 10W charging support.
