New Delhi, February 14: Chinese handset maker Xiaomi is all set to unveil much-anticipated smartphone- the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 at an event in New Delhi today. The Redmi Note 5 smartphone- a successor to the popular Redmi Note 4 is expected to be launched in India at 12 noon. It must be noted that users can stream the launch event LIVE on the Xiaomi's official website today at 12 noon. The company will stream the launch event live from their Facebook and YouTube account as well.

Xiaomi is one of the companies that were the first to venture into the untapped bezel-less screen segment.  As far as price is concerned, Redmi Note 5 price in India may start from roughly around Rs 15,400), NDTV Gadgets reported. During the launch today, Xiaomi is also planning to launch a new device which is expected to be a Mi TV. The company took to micro-blogging site Twitter and launched a teaser for the same. Xiaomi is making India launch the debut of the smartphone globally as it hasn’t launched the Redmi Note 5 in any other region, not even in China.

As per reports, the Redmi Note 5 is believed to be Flipkart exclusive and may be available on Mi.com and Mi Home stores.  As per reports, the most awaited Redmi Note 5 might feature a 5.99 inch screen with a Full HD+ resolution with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The smartphone is believed to come with a bezel-less display and dual camera lens. The new Xiaomi device is expected come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 and may come with various storage variants. Reports inform that the smartphone may feature a 4000mAH battery might power the device.
