NBCUniversal and YouTube have finalized a major distribution agreement that will integrate Peacock Premium directly into YouTube Premium at no extra charge for U.S. subscribers starting in early 2027. The deal marks Peacock’s largest wholesale partnership to date, significantly expanding the streaming service’s distribution footprint across Google’s video ecosystem.

Under the arrangement, U.S. YouTube Premium members will receive full access to Peacock’s library directly inside the YouTube platform. YouTube Premium currently costs $15.99 per month, an offering that already includes ad-free YouTube playback, background listening, offline downloads, and YouTube Music. Subscribers will gain access to Peacock’s live sports coverage—including NFL games, NBA broadcasts, Premier League soccer, and college athletics—as well as hit entertainment programming such as Love Island USA, The Traitors, Law & Order: SVU, and NBCUniversal’s film catalog.

The multi-year agreement also renews NBCUniversal’s network carriage deal with YouTube TV, securing continued distribution for NBC broadcast networks and cable channels. In addition, select international YouTube Premium subscribers will gain access to NBCUniversal's niche streaming offerings, Universal+ and Hayu.

The strategic move comes shortly after Peacock achieved its first quarterly profit, boosted by strong engagement across live sports and reality television. As media companies across the industry turn to bundling to reduce subscriber churn and cut marketing expenses, the partnership positions Peacock to tap into YouTube Premium’s global base of over 125 million subscribers.
