Mumbai, March 30: A rising Scottish social media influencer, Ellie Crampsie, is facing a possible prison sentence after admitting her role in attempting to smuggle cannabis worth up to 150,000 pounds through Edinburgh Airport. The 23-year-old pleaded guilty at Edinburgh Sheriff Court to being involved in the supply of a controlled substance, putting her online career and business at serious risk.

The court was told that Crampsie was stopped by Border Force officers on April 16 last year after arriving from Thailand via Paris on an Air France flight. During a routine inspection, officials grew suspicious and conducted a search of her luggage. Inside, they discovered 17 vacuum-sealed packages containing 17.7kg of cannabis. The drugs were later valued between 115,000 pounds and 151,000 pounds. Sondra Blust Viral Video: American Social Media Influencer Grooves to ‘MARTILLANDO’ in Black Bodycon Dress (Watch Instagram Reel).

Crampsie, who is based in Glasgow’s Broomhouse area, had built a strong presence on social media, gaining popularity in the nightlife and events scene. She also runs a beauty venture called “Brows by Ellie,” offering brow styling and aesthetic treatments. The case has shocked her followers and raised questions about influencer lifestyles behind the scenes.

During the hearing, her defence solicitor highlighted that she has family support and no significant criminal history. However, Sheriff Graeme Watson made it clear that the seriousness of the offence means all sentencing options remain open, including a custodial sentence. Who Was Ben Bader? The court has adjourned the case to allow for social work and liberty assessment reports before sentencing. While bail has been continued, the warning from the court signals that jail time remains a real possibility.

Crampsie is expected to return to court in the coming weeks, where her fate will be decided.
