Newly released police station footage of Jamie Lee Komoroski has gone viral, showing her crying and repeatedly asking officers to let her go home and contact her father shortly after a drunken crash killed a bride on her wedding night in South Carolina in 2023.

Komoroski, now 27, was arrested after driving a rented Toyota Camry into a golf cart carrying newlyweds Samantha and Aric Hutchinson and two wedding guests in Folly Beach on April 28, 2023. Samantha, 34, was killed in the crash while Aric suffered serious injuries.

The footage from the Folly Beach police station shows Komoroski handcuffed and sitting in a chair following the fatal crash. 'I just wanna like, get this over with and go home,' she says.

When an officer tells her that she cannot make a phone call at that time, Komoroski questions why she is being detained and asks, 'Well, what did I do?' She also appears to insist that authorities had not established that she was responsible for the crash.

Jamie Lee Komoroski Drunken Crash

Komoroski had reportedly been drinking at several bars in Folly Beach before getting behind the wheel. She was allegedly travelling at around 65 mph in a 25 mph zone when her car crashed into the golf cart carrying the newlyweds and their guests as they were leaving their wedding reception.

Authorities reportedly found her blood alcohol level to be around three times the legal limit.

Samantha Hutchinson was killed in the collision while her husband Aric sustained serious injuries. The other passengers in the golf cart were also injured.

Jamie Lee Komoroski Sentenced To 25 Years

Komoroski later pleaded guilty to felony DUI, two counts of DUI causing great bodily injury or death and reckless homicide. She was sentenced to 25 years in prison for the fatal crash.

The newly released footage has renewed attention on the case, with viewers focusing on Komoroski's behaviour in the immediate aftermath of the crash that ended Samantha Hutchinson's life on what was supposed to be her wedding night.
