Bihu, the harvest festival of Assam will be celebrated on April 15 this year. The festival is marked with various cultural and traditions events in the state. The Assamese New Year which marks the onset of spring also marks the agricultural and the seeding time in Assam. It is celebrated for seven days during the month of Bohag (Baishakh Month) and is also known as Bohag Bihu and Rongali Bihu. On this day, people send messages wishing each other Happy Bihu!
