Singer Kanika Kapoor ruled headlines after she tested positive for coronavirus. The only celebrity from India to test positive for the deadly virus, Kanika was accused of partying in ill-health. She had triggered a scare among several politicians who had apparently attended a dinner party where Kanika was also present. She was accused of ignoring symptoms and missing the screening at the airport. The Uttar Pradesh police had also registered an FIR against her. There were also reports of her throwing tantrums at the hospital where she was put into quarantine. However, after days of silence, Kanika has finally issued a statement. In the post shared on social media, Kanika revealed that no one from the UK, Mumbai or Lucknow, who she had met have shown symptoms of COVID-19. She also mentioned that all those tested have shown negative results. In the end, Kanika wrote, ‘Negativity thrown at a person does not change the reality.’
