Jain community will celebrate Mahavir Jayanti on April 4 this year. Devotees will visit Jain temples & raise awareness about Lord Mahavir's teachings. Mahavir Jayanti is observed to mark the birth anniversary of Lord Mahavir. He was named Vardhaman in his childhood. Lord Mahavir was born in a royal family.
