India celebrates its 75^th Republic Day on January 26, 2024. PM Narendra Modi began the celebrations by paying floral tributes at the National War Memorial in Delhi to honour soldiers of the Indian armed forces. PM Modi was received by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. PM Modi observed a two-minute silence to pay homage to the sacrifices made by the armed personnel. PM Modi then proceeded to the Kartavya Path for the Republic Day parade. President Droupadi Murmu commenced the celebrations by unfurling the national flag. Earlier, PM Modi received President Droupadi Murmu and French President Emmanuel Macron at Kartavya Path for Republic Day celebrations. Watch the video to know more.
