Varalakshmi Vratam, also popularly known as Varalakshmi Puja is celebrated in many states of India with great devotion. Devotees worship Varalakshmi, the consort of Lord Vishnu and one of the forms of Goddess Mahalakshmi. Varalakshmi fasting is observed on the last Friday during Shravana Shukla Paksha.
