In a statement issued by spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch, the group reported that fighters from its specialized units ambushed a military convoy in the Ziarat Cross area. According to the release, BLA commandos targeted four convoy vehicles, completely destroying two—including a military logistics truck—and killing 18 security personnel. The group’s official media wing, Hakkal, later distributed video footage showing fighters standing near burning military transport and seizing weapons at the ambush site. A secondary operation targeted security forces in the Hajika area of Surab District. The BLA’s Special Tactical Operations Squad (STOS) detonated a remotely controlled vehicle-borne explosive against a passing military transport, resulting in seven additional military fatalities and the destruction of the vehicle.
The incidents mark an escalation in armed conflict across southwestern Pakistan, where separatist groups have stepped up attacks against state security infrastructure, military convoys, and economic projects. The BLA reiterated its enforcement of a transport blockade targeting military supply lines and commercial activities tied to state resource extraction, warning local contractors against assisting government forces.
