The incident occurred near Tiergarten park shortly after 10 PM local time. Berlin Police said a vehicle drove into a crowd, leaving multiple people injured, including several with life-threatening injuries. Emergency responders rushed to the scene and treated victims before transporting them to nearby hospitals.

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz condemned the incident, describing it as a horrific act and promising that those responsible would be identified and punished.
