Mumbai, September 16: Sergey Brin, one of Google's co-founders, recently divorced from wife Nicole Shanahan, an attorney and entrepreneur. The couple's divorce was finalised on May 26, and according to media reports, Tesla boss Elon Musk has something to do with it. It is being reported that Sergey Brin divorced his wife over allegations of an affair between her and billionaire Elon Musk. According to court documents, they will now share legal and physical custody of their 4-year-old daughter.

According to Business Insider, while Shanahan did not contest the divorce, she did request spousal support, as stated in the court documents. They resolved other matters, such as attorney fees and the division of assets, through confidential arbitration. It's worth noting that they initially began dating in 2015, the same year Brin finalised his divorce from his first wife, Anne Wojcicki. Eventually, in 2018, Brin married Nicole Shanahan. In 2021, the couple decided to part ways and began living separately. Subsequently, in 2022, Brin initiated divorce proceedings, citing "irreconcilable differences." According to the New York Post, he filed for divorce approximately a month after his wife was reportedly involved in a brief liaison with Elon Musk, a longtime friend. The Google co-founder, who is 50 years old, currently holds the position of being the ninth wealthiest person globally, boasting a net worth of $118 billion according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. On the other hand, Shanahan, aged 34, is an attorney based in California and serves as the founder and president of the Bia-Echo Foundation, as stated on her LinkedIn profile.
