New Delhi, January 21: Eight Indian tourists, who were holidaying in Nepal's Daman, were found dead in a hotel room of Everest Panorama resort located in Thaha Municipality of Makawanpur district on Tuesday, January 21. The tourists were from Kerala, reported news agency ANI. According to the local police, the eight might have died due to suffocation. The eight deceased- two couples and four children- were part of a group of 15 people. "We are yet to identify the name of the deceased. They were using the gas heater in the room, suffocation might have caused their death," Makwanpur SP Sushil Singh Rathore said.

The manager of the resort said that windows and the door were bolted from inside. Police believe that the tourists may have died due to lack of ventilation. Rescue helicopters were called and tourists were airlifted buy they were declared dead at HAMS Hospital in Kathmandu.
