The storm was reported to have maximum sustained winds of 144 kph (89.5 mph), with gusts reaching 198 kph, raising concerns over structural damage, flooding and travel disruptions. Heatstroke Warning Issued Alongside Storm Alerts
Despite the approaching typhoon, the weather agency also warned of heatstroke risks in some areas. Temperatures were expected to reach around 36 degrees Celsius (97 degrees Fahrenheit) in parts of the region, creating additional health concerns for residents and those staying in evacuation centres.
