Vienna Restaurant Firing: 1 Person Killed, 1 Injured After Man Opens Fire

Vienna, December 21: In a shootout at a popular tourist restaurant in Austria's capital Vienna, one person was killed and another injured at the city's historic center. However, the motive behind the incident remains unclear as investigations are underway.

Located only a few hundred meters away from Vienna’s iconic St. Stephen's Cathedral, the incident took place at Austrian Figlmueller restaurant.

Two people were found with gunshot wounds from near the restaurant.

Both the deceased person and the injured suffered from head injuries, said reports.

An unidentified man opened fire, said police. One victim died on the spot and another suffered serious injuries. Police speculate that this might be a case of targeted crime.
