Jaipur, May 18 (PTI) BJP state organisational general secretary Chandra Shekhar today accused the Congress of creating a negative environment in the state.

Addressing a workshop here, Shekhar said, "The Congress and other opposition parties are trying to create a negative environment and BJP workers need to strengthen the party at the booth level."

Outgoing state BJP president Ashok Parnami alleged that the Congress had failed to protect democracy in its 70 years of dispensation and was now making reluctant remarks on the BJP.

He exuded confidence that the BJP, under the leadership of Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, would pass the floor-test in Karnataka Assembly.
