Kolkata, May 31 (PTI) Counting of votes for five Assembly and one Lok Sabha seats where bypoll was held in eastern and north eastern states began this morning, officials said.

The five seats where Assembly by-elections were held are Maheshtala in West Bengal, Gomia and Silli in Jharkhand, Jokihat in Bihar and Ampati in Meghalaya.

The by-election was also held in the lone Nagaland Lok Sabha seat. Repolling was held in one polling booth yesterday.

The bypoll was held on May 28.
