New Delhi [India], Jan 05 (ANI): Emraan Hashmi's fans have a reason to rejoice, as the makers of his next film have preponed the release date.

'Cheat India' will release on January 18, as opposed to January 25, 2019.

The trailer of the movie introduced the viewers to Emraan in a never-seen-before avatar. With parted hair and moustache, he plays the role of a middleman taking care of all the arrangements for the discrepancies in the system.

The movie focuses on the issue of granting fake certificates to undeserving candidates for a bribe. Emraan fraudulently gets students into engineering and management colleges and has a whole team of people who write for other candidates, and in the end, everyone gets what they want.

Emraan has also collaborated with Guru Randhawa to create a special song for his forthcoming film.

Apart from Emraan, the film also stars Shreya Dhanwanthary in the lead role.

Helmed by 'Gulaab Gang' director Soumik Sen, this is the second flick from Emraan's production house- Emraan Hashmi Films. (ANI)
