Bijnor (UP), Jan 18 (PTI) The body of a 10-year-old missing boy has been found in a sugarcane field in the Chandpur area here, police said on Wednesday.

The boy, Varun, was reported missing on Monday evening, Additional Superintendent of Police Ram Arj said, adding that his body was found in Jafarpur Kot village on Tuesday.

The minor had left home to go to a local picnic, he said.

Prima facie, it appears that the boy was strangled, the ASP said. A detailed probe is underway.
