Thane (Maharashtra) [India], September 22 (ANI): A five-year-old girl died while three others of her family, including a toddler, were injured when ceiling plaster in their house collapsed on them in Maharashtra's Thane, Thane Municipal Corporation officials said on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Uneja Sheikh. The injured include Umar Sheikh (23), Muskan Sheikh (21), and Izaan Sheikh (1).

According to the Thane Municipal Corporation, the incident occurred near the Mumbra area of Thane.

"A 5-year-old girl died and three people were injured in the incident," they said.

Earlier this month, a girl child was killed and a woman was injured after part of a house collapsed in Mumbai's Chembur area.

The incident took place in Saraswati Gully near Ekata Mitra Mandal on PL Lokhande Marg in the Chembur (West) area of Mumbai. (ANI)
