New Delhi, June 10: A minor boy was apprehended for allegedly sexually assaulting a seven-year-old girl who is his neighbour in Delhi's Lodhi Colony, police said on Monday. The victim girl is seven years old. The accused, 16, is also a minor.

The police received a PCR call regarding a sexual assault incident, following which the officers reached the spot. "On June 9, a PCR call regarding a sexual assault with a minor girl was received at PS Lodhi Colony, the police staff rushed to the spot where the victim girl (7 years) resident of Meharchand Market, Delhi was found with her grandmother," the police said. Delhi Horror: Classmates Sexually Assault Class 8 Student, Insert Stick Inside Him; End Up Damaging His Intestine and Internal Organs.

The victim's grandmother told the police about the whole incident. She alleged that her neighbour sexually assaulted her daughter at his house 3-4 days ago. Following the statement by the complainant, the police registered a case under section 376 AB of the Indian Penal Code (raping a woman under the age of 12) and section 6 of the POCSO Act at the Lodhi Colony Police Station, the police said. Delhi Metro Sexual Assault Case: 28-Year-Old Man Held for Molesting Minor Boy in Metro Train.

The minor accused or the Child in Conflict with Law (CCL) was apprehended and sent to an observation home. Further investigation is underway.
