Ukhrul (Manipur) [India], January 3 (ANI): An earthquake of magnitude 3.0 on the Richter Scale struck Manipur's Ukhrul on Wednesday, the National Centre for Seismology (NCS) said.

The quake struck at 12.01 am on Wednesday at a depth of 26 km, the NCS said further.

"Earthquake of Magnitude:3.0, Occurred on 03-01-2024, 00:01:36 IST, Lat: 24.75 & Long: 94.31, Depth: 35 Km ,Location: 26km SW of Ukhrul, Manipur, India," the NCS said in a post on X.

Meanwhile, an earthquake of 3.5 magnitude jolted West Bengal's Alipurduar district at a depth of 5 km on Tuesday evening. (ANI)
