New Delhi [India], July 23 (ANI): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's decision to establish fast-track courts for paper leak cases, saying the move reflects the Centre's commitment to safeguarding the future of the country's youth.

In a post on X, Shah said the welfare of young people and securing their future remain the Modi government's highest priority.

"The welfare of the youth and their bright future is both the highest priority and the resolve of the Modi government. The decision to expedite hearings and take stringent action against the guilty in paper leak cases through the establishment of fast-track courts by the Prime Minister is a reflection of this very commitment," the post read.

He further mentioned, "This important step by PM Modi ji against those who toy with the future of the youth due to paper leaks will prove to be a milestone."

The Home Minister's remarks came after PM Modi, in a post on X earlier on Thursday, announced the establishment of fast-track courts to expedite the trial of paper leak cases and ensure stringent action against those involved, intending to protect the integrity of public examinations and the interests of students.

In his post on X, PM said, "Nothing is more important than the welfare and future of our youth! We have decided to set up fast-track courts to ensure swift and stringent punishment for those involved in paper leaks. Have directed the concerned authorities and officials to take all necessary steps in this regard. This continues our series of steps for safeguarding the interests of students. Those who try to harm the future of our youth will not be spared."

PM's announcement is significant amid ongoing protests by the Cockroach Janta Party and its supporters, as well as demonstrations of various political parties seeking the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged examination irregularities and NEET paper leak, at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi.
