Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], June 24 (ANI): The fire in the Malaratta area of Srinagar, which has been contained, destroyed a mosque, a few shops, and residential homes, officials said on Monday.

Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Bilal Mohiudin, told ANI, "A mosque, a few shops, and residential houses were gutted in the fire...12 fire tenders, including hydraulic cranes, have been deployed. Fire is under control..."

"We will ascertain the cause of the fire," DC Mohiudin said before leaving for the fire spot.

He further added that the entire team, including the ADC's, Tehsildars, and police officials, are present at the spot. (ANI)
