Ranchi (Jharkhand) [India], September 1 (ANI): Three people from a family, including two women, were killed by a group of people in rural Ranchi’s Ormanjhi area following a dispute over grazing of animals on agricultural land on Thursday morning, officials said. 

Police have arrested six accused in connection with the triple murder, officials said.

As per the officials, the incident happened around 11 am on Thursday. Around 10 people armed with sticks and agricultural tools attacked the members of the other family, beating three members of the family to death.

According to police, the victims and accused are known and related to each other.

SP Ranchi Rural Haris Bin Zaman informed the media that pigs belonging to one family allegedly destroyed crops on their relative’s farm a few days ago, leading to a dispute between the two families.

Six primary accused persons have been arrested, and raids are ongoing to nab the remaining accused. A total of eleven people have been named, the police added.
