New Delhi, October 2: The Supreme Court is scheduled to pronounce its judgement on Thursday on appeals challenging the Patna High Court's decision acquitting former MP Surajbhan Singh and eight others in a murder case. The case pertains to the murder of former Bihar Minister Brij Bihari Prasad in 1998.

A bench of justices Sanjiv Khanna, Sanjay Kumar, and R Mahadevan will pronounce the verdict. Seven accused, including former MP Surajbhan Singh, former legislators Vijay alias Munna Shukla, and Rajan Tiwari, were acquitted by the Patna High Court. The trial court in 2009 sentenced the eight accused to life imprisonment.
