Ghaziabad, October 1: A massive fire broke out at a plastic scrap godown in the Hindon Vihar area of Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad, the police said on Sunday. However, no casualties have been reported, the police added. "We received information around 7.42 pm that a massive fire had broken out at a plastic scrap godown in Ghaziabad's Hindon Vihar. The godown spans an area of about 700 to 800 square metres. As soon as we received word of the incident, eight fire engines were rushed to the spot. The fire was brought under control," Rahul Kumar, chief Fire officer, Ghaziabad, told ANI. "No casualties were reported in the incident," he added. The reason behind the fire was being ascertained, the chief Fire officer informed further. Further details are awaited.
