Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh) [India], August 29 (ANI): Protests erupted after a student died in Prayagraj, police said on Tuesday.

According to Kheri police, a scuffle broke out between a group of students in Parmanand Smarak Inter College in Prayagraj.

"A clash erupted between a group of students on an issue, which was brought to a rest by the teachers. But after school hours, the clash began again and lead to the death of one student", said the police offical.

Protests erupted in the area after the incident.

The police official further said," Protests occuring have been brought to an end. Peace and harmony is being maintained in the area.”

A complaint was filed by the deceased’s family members and a case has been registered.

Three have been arrested, according to the police official.
