Mumbai, Jan 13 (PTI) Favourites Odisha and Haryana took their places in Tuesday's final of the men's Under-21 hockey final of the Khelo India Youth Games 2019 in contrasting fashion.

In the semi-finals held Sunday, Haryana outplayed neighbours Punjab 3-1 while Odisha were stretched in beating Uttar Pradesh 2-1, a media release said.

On Tuesday, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab play the third place match while the final is scheduled at 4pm.

In women's Under-17 and Under-21 action at the Mahindra Hockey Stadium, Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh emerged winners on the day.

In U-17 women's action, Jharkhand and Chandigarh played out a 2-2 draw in Pool A after both had won their respective opening matches on Saturday.

In anther Pool A match, Punjab defeated Delhi 7-0 for their first win of the competition.

In the U-21s, Haryana beat Punjab 3-2 in Pool B with goals from Amrinder Kaur (12th), Amandeep Kaur (20th) and Anu (52th) while Baljeet Kaur (26th, 43th) got on the score-sheet for Punjab.

In the other pool game, UP beat Chandigarh 4-1.

In Pool A, both matches ended in draws as Jharkhand and Odisha played out a goal-less game and Mizoram held hosts Maharashtra 1-1.
