Gurugram, Oct 29 (PTI) More than 2000 runners participated in a marathon to raise awareness on healthy living where every participant also donated winter clothing for the underprivileged, the organisers said here.

The run, LaYuvathon, was held here on Sunday.

"The event was organised to promote the spirit of well-being and witnessed more than 2000 participants from various fields including educational institutions, corporate organisations and public service," the organisers said in a press release.

"Every runner who joined the event donated one warm clothing item for the underprivileged and Team LaYuva with Bharosa Foundation distributed it to the needy people on the streets of Gurugram."

The event comprised a series of runs ranging from 1km, 3 km, 5km, 10 km and 21km.

A total prize money of Rs 1.5 lakh was distributed in the 5km, 10km and 21 km categories to both male and female participants. PTI PM
