Washington DC [United States], Jul 15 (ANI): Washington chapter of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has decided to boycott the Pakistan general elections, which are slated to be held on July 25.

On Saturday afternoon, MQM staged a protest titled 'BOYCOTT 2018 ELECTION' outside White House in Washington over continuous atrocities against refugees in Pakistan by the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).

MQM activists chanted slogan against the government in Islamabad and ISI by holding flags, placards and MQM chief Altaf Hussain's picture.

Speaking to ANI, one of the protestors said, "The message would be that we are not going to stop. We would be going to every platform and we are not going to leave any possibility to raise the voices of those going unheard. White House is the place where the policies are made and Pakistan is receiving billions and billions of dollars in aid. It needs to stop killing the Mohajirs."

The members of the MQM, at the protest also alleged that the government and intelligence agencies in Pakistan are busy in negotiating with terror outfits and are trying to install a weak and puppet government.

"It is been 40 years since the Mohajirs have been oppressed and injustice has been done in Karachi and all the urban cities of Sindh. We want the White House, the administration and human rights organization to know that we need their help and support. Everybody is aware of the game Pakistan's military establishment and ISI is playing," said another protestor.

Dwelling upon the general elections, he added, "This is not the first time that everybody is talking about that there is no hope in Pakistan's elections. For the last 70 years, whatever elections have been conducted in Pakistan, everyone knows that there is a major involvement of Pakistan army and the ISI.

The protestors could be seen holding the placards with messages such as, "Pakistan's security forces are killers in uniforms." (ANI)
