Puducherry [India], Mar 30 (ANI): Puducherry Police flying squad has seized Rs 1.86 crore unaccounted cash, from a vehicle during midnight checking in Grand Bazaar area here.Superintendent of Police Maran told ANI, "In the connection with the Lok Sabha elections, our police team searched the suspicious vehicle. We found Rs 1.86 crore in cash without valid documents. We have informed the Income Tax department about it."It worth mentioning here, since the Model Code of Conduct came into effect; restrictions have been imposed for carrying cash.The cash could only be taken with the valid documents proving its source and purpose.Polls in Puducherry for one seat will take place on April 18. The counting of votes will be held on May 23. (ANI)
