Imphal, Oct 11 (PTI) Security forces seized a cache of arms and ammunition in Manipur's Thoubal district, police said Thursday.

A team of Manipur police and Assam Rifles (AR) while conducting a search operation at Ingourok village on Tuesday recovered one Hackler Koch assault rifle, one m-16 rifle, 784 round of 5.56 mm and some Myanmerese currency which were kept concealed underground, said a Manipur Police press release.

The security forces also arrested an active cadre of proscribed militant outfit People Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) progressive group while conducting search operation at Hayel Labuk village in Thoubal district on Tuesday, the release added.
