Ghaziabad, Oct 26 (PTI) Three men were arrested for robbing a collection agent of Rs 6 lakh at gunpoint, police said Friday.

Acting upon a secret information and CCTV footage, Indirapuram police made the arrests in the case that took place on August 29.

City Superintendent of Police Shlok Kumar said the accused have been identified as Rahul, Ravi and Amit. They told police during interrogation that when collection agent Sachin reached near Shipra Sun City, they waylaid his bike and snatched the cash and the bike on gun point. 

Ravi and Amit are the real cousin brothers of Sachin and knew about his cash collection work. They hatched a plan to rob him with the help of his friend Rahul.

Police have recovered 1 lakh 51 thousand rupees, a motor cycle and three knives from their possession. A pulsar motor cycle has also been recovered which was used in commission of the crime. They have been sent to jail, the officer added.
