New Delhi, Jul 9 (PTI) Tihar jail inmates were given certificates on Tuesday for completing a training related to catering, officials said.

The training programme was organised by the Delhi Prison Department in collaboration with the Department of Food Safety and FSSAI, they said.

The training was imparted to about 950 inmates involved in food manufacturing, food storing and distribution, procuring and storing of raw material, the officials said.

The programme was successfully completed in all the jails of Delhi in May and June 2019.

A function was organised in central jail number 1 Tihar here to give certificates to the inmates, the officials said.
