[USA], Feb 13 (ANI): US President Donald Trump, on Tuesday (local time), expressed his displeasure over the deal which has been struck by Congressional negotiators to avert another government shutdown.The stakes are high with just a few days to go for the stopgap measure - which was put in place to temporarily end the longest partial government shutdown - to expire on February 15."I’m not happy about it. It’s not doing the trick," The Hill quoted Trump as saying on Tuesday (local time)."I’m adding things to it, and when you add whatever I have to add, it’s all going to happen where we’re going to build a beautiful, big, strong wall," he added.The bipartisan Congressional committee, put in place to negotiate a deal which is acceptable to both the Republicans and Democrats, on Monday announced that deal had been struck "in principle" on funding for border security, with over USD 1.3 billion being allocated for building the wall. Trump had, in December last year, asked for over USD 5 billion to build the fence on the US-Mexico border.However, the US President has continuously hinted at declaring a national emergency to get the wall built, with his latest statements at a rally in El Paso strengthening his claims."We'll be building the wall anyway," he told a cheering crowd on Monday night in Texas' El Paso.An impasse between the US Congress and Trump over funding for the wall had earlier triggered the longest-ever partial government shutdown in the United States, which lasted for 35 days from December 22 to January 25, leaving scores of federal workers without pay for the period.
