Hyundai Motor India Limited, country’s second largest car manufacturer has silently introduced the facelifted version of its popular cross-hatch - i20 Active in India. Priced at Rs. 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the new version of i20 Active comes with dual-tone exterior design along with new features. On the exterior front, the new i20 Active retains the same trapezoidal grille upfront which is further flanked by round shaped fog lamps and projector headlights with LED DRLs. It also comes with silver scuff plate on the front bumper, contrasting coloured roof, roof spoiler, multi-spoke alloy wheels and much more. The rear section gets round shaped fog lamps, silver scuff plate on the bumper, and much more. On the dimension front, the new i20 Active comes with length of 3995mm, width of 1760mm and height of 1555mm along with wheelbase of 2570mm.

Inside the cabin, the facelifted avatar of i20 Active comes with the same dashboard layout as seen on the previous version. However, the cross-hatch gets exterior colour matched accents that enhances the overall appeal of the cabin. It gets 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay as well as Mirror Link compatibility, adjustable front centre armrest and the rear armrest and much more. On the mechanical front, the updated Hyundai i20 Active continues to sport same set of engine options as seen on the previous model. The 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol mill is tuned to generate 82bhp of maximum power @ 6,000 rpm against the peak torque of 115 Nm @ 4,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. On the other hand, the 1.4-litre, 4-cylinder oil burner is capable of making max power of 89 bhp @ 4,000 rpm and peak torque of 220 Nm @ 1,500-2,750 rpm. This unit is coupled to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

As far as the prices are concerned, the entry level variant of i20 Active is priced Rs. 6.99 lakh whereas the top end variant attracts buyers with a price tag of Rs. 10.01 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Hyundai i20 Active Facelift competes against the likes of Ford Freestyle, Honda WR-V, Toyota Etios Cross, Volkswagen Cross Polo and others.
