Ford Freestyle Online Bookings Commences via Amazon India; Expected Price, Launch Date, Specifications, Images and Other Details

Ford India, a popular American car maker has officially initiated online bookings for its popular Ford Freestyle Compact Utility Vehicle wherein the car can be booked by skipping the queue via Amazon India. The much awaited Ford Freestyle will be available exclusively Amazon India's official website - on April 14. To be available for just 24 hours, limited number of just 100 units of the vehicle will be available for booking online. As a part of online booking via Amazon, the customers will receive priority delivery wherein the customers can book the new Ford Freestyle with token amount of Rs. 10,000. Touted as country's first compact utility vehicle, the new Ford Freestyle sports SUV-ish design, innovative technology, performance and fuel efficiency. The new Ford Freestyle CUV is expected to see a competitive price tag with a starting price of Rs. 6 lakh (ex-showroom). The top end variant of the compact vehicle is expected to go up to Rs. 8 lakh (ex-showroom).

On the dimension front, the new Freestyle vehicle gets length of 3954mm, width of 1737mm and height of 1570. However, the wheelbase and ground clearance of the CUV stands at 2490 mm and 190 mm respectively. Mechanically, the new Ford Freestyle will be offered with a choice of petrol and diesel engines. The former is an all-new 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder Dragon series motor whereas the latter is a 1.5-liter oil burner. While the petrol engine will develop 95 bhp of maximum power against the peak torque of 120Nm, the diesel engine can make 99 bhp and 215 Nm of power figures. Transmission duties on both the engines will be carried out by a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. The new compact vehicle from Ford India will be pitted against the likes of Fiat Urban Cross, Toyota Etios Cross, Hyundai Active i20 and others.
