Mahindra has unveiled the production-ready Scorpio Lifestyler, its new lifestyle pickup based on the Global Pik Up concept showcased in 2023. The double-cab pickup shares its underpinnings with the Scorpio N and will compete with the Toyota Hilux and Isuzu D-Max V-Cross in India. It is scheduled to arrive by April 2027.

The Scorpio Lifestyler will use the Scorpio name in India, while international markets will receive the vehicle simply as the Lifestyler. Mahindra has positioned it as a lifestyle-focused pickup combining SUV-like comfort with cargo-carrying practicality. The company has confirmed that prices will start below INR 19.79 lakh (ex-showroom), giving it a significant price advantage over its established rivals. Mahindra BE.07 Electric SUV Set for August 15 Unveil: Expected Price and Specifications.

Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler Design and Features

The Scorpio Lifestyler gets a dedicated exterior design rather than simply adapting the Scorpio N's body. It features a wide grille with chrome detailing, sleek LED headlamps, vertically positioned fog lamps, a muscular front bumper and prominent body cladding. The double-cab profile includes alloy wheels with off-road tyres, roof rails and a large rear cargo bed.

At the rear, vertically oriented LED tail-lamps with C-shaped lighting elements flank a tailgate carrying large Mahindra lettering. The pickup will also be offered in three editions named Surfer, Trail and Valley.

The cabin receives a more premium and technology-focused layout, including a large touchscreen infotainment system, a floating digital driver's display, a new dashboard and modern upholstery. Dual-zone climate control is also among the confirmed or indicated equipment. Some additional features reported for the vehicle, including specific screen sizes, ventilated seats, a sunroof and advanced driver assistance systems, have not been fully confirmed by Mahindra and should therefore not be treated as final specifications.

Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler Specifications

Mahindra has confirmed the Scorpio Lifestyler's basic positioning and architecture, but it has not yet released a complete official production specification sheet covering engine outputs, transmission combinations, dimensions, battery or fuel capacity, payload and all equipment.

The vehicle is based on the platform architecture shared with the Scorpio N and will be offered as a double-cab pickup. A 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine with four-wheel drive has been reported, while earlier information surrounding the Global Pik Up has also pointed to petrol and diesel powertrain options. However, figures such as 203 PS for the 2.0-litre petrol engine, 175 PS for the diesel, 380 Nm and 400 Nm torque outputs, and the precise transmission and drivetrain combinations remain unconfirmed for the final Indian-specification model.

Therefore, previously reported specifications such as a six-speed manual and automatic gearbox, rear-wheel drive for the petrol version and four-wheel drive for the diesel should be treated as expected specifications rather than officially confirmed production figures.

Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler Price in India

Mahindra has confirmed that the Scorpio Lifestyler will be priced below INR 19.79 lakh (ex-showroom) when it launches in India by April 2027. The company has not announced the final variant-wise pricing. Maruti Suzuki Baleno Facelift Launch Set for September 5; Know Rumoured Price Range, Specifications and Features.

This positioning could make the Lifestyler considerably more affordable than the Toyota Hilux and Isuzu D-Max V-Cross, both of which occupy the premium lifestyle pickup segment. The final price, variants and equipment will be announced closer to the commercial launch.
